    • 1). Set the temperature on the hairdryer to warm and apply heat to the vinyl sticker for two to three minutes. Heating the vinyl softens it, making it more pliable. Don't allow the car's surface to get too hot or you may damage the paint.

    • 2). Slide the plastic scraper or credit card under the edge of the sticker, and slowly lift the sticker up with your fingers. Pull the sticker up very slowly at a slight angle. Keep your hands close to the car as you work so the vinyl comes off in one piece.

    • 3). Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol with a cloth to any glue residue left on the car. Wait 30 seconds and wipe the alcohol off.

    • 4). Spray citrus-based cleaner on any remaining residue. Wait 30 seconds and wipe it off.

    • 5). Scrape off any remaining residue with a plastic scraper or credit card. Work slowly and carefully to avoid scratching the car's paint.

    • 6). Spray the area with an all purpose cleaner, rinse it with water and wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
