How to Reset an SRS Light on a 2000 Honda Accord
- 1). Shift the Accord's transmission into park and apply the emergency brake. Turn the ignition to the "Off" position, then turn the ignition back to the "On" position but do not start the engine.
- 2). Plug the scan tool's data connector cable into the vehicle's diagnostic data port, located underneath the dashboard on the driver's side. Power on the scan tool and wait for it to establish communication with the vehicle's computer system.
- 3). Select "SRS" from the scan tool's main menu then select "Clear All Codes."
- 4). Unplug the scan tool from the data port and start the engine. Verify that the SRS light is no longer illuminated.
