If you are a non-custodial or shared custodial dad with visitation rights and/or child support responsibilities, Dad's Time Tracker is the tool you have been looking for. Annetta Panatera is a member of the Georgia Child Support Commission, and saw a need in her role as a fathers' advocate for a simple yet comprehensive record keeping tool. In one place, you can keep track of every important bit of information with this book.

All in One Place

Lawrence and Annetta Panatera have written the Dad's Time Tracker to provide fathers with compehensive and easy-to-use record keeping tools. With the Time Tracker, dads can track not only time, but other important information including child support payments, money spent on the children beyond child support, and other data like contact information for teachers, doctors, and caregivers. There is also a place to record medical history and more. And having all the information in one easy-to-access book can really help when it is needed to document your parenting efforts.

Documentation is Important

Many non-custodial dads have horror stories about being dragged back into court for additional child support. Some want to head back to court to gain additional custody or visitation rights. Having a complete and current record of child support payments, times a father had (or didn't have) his scheduled visitation is absolutely critical to making his case in family court. The Time Tracker provides just such a tool.

Formatted in calendar style, the Time Tracker manages an entire year of parenting records. A few simple minutes each week or month will help a dad stay on top of this record keeping responsibility.

Easy to Use

I can't envision a simpler and more convenient tool for parenting records management than the Time Tracker. It is all in one place; it's 6” x 9” format is convenient and fits nicely into a drawer or briefcase. Because it is largely calendar-based, the book is easy to use, if used on a regular basis. And even if you don't enter information consistently, it is easy to take your calendar, PDA or dayplanner and update the record when it is convenient.

Conclusion and Recommendation

I recommend the Dad's Time Tracker to any father with a need to maintain and manage information concerning his children and family. It has special application for non-custodial dads, but could be used by any father wanting to document his interactions and involvement with his children. I think the Time Tracker or a similar tool is indispensible for a non-custodial father—and the Time Tracker's format makes it an especially good tool.
