How to Build a Rose Bush Trellis
- 1). Create a criss-cross design out of 1-inch-by-1 1/2-inch boards. Lay out 10 boards diagonally, 2 inches apart.
- 2). Place 10 1-inch-by-1 1/2-inch boards diagonally, on top of the first 10 boards, going in the opposite direction, 2 inches apart.
- 3). Attach the boards by first putting a drop of liquid nails between them at each intersection, and then stapling the boards together with a staple gun and 1-inch staples.
- 4). Secure a 1-inch-by-1 1/2-inch board horizontally across the top and the bottom, 4 inches from the edge. Staple the boards in place every 6 inches.
- 5). Tie each corner of the trellis to a wooden fence with galvanized steel wire.
