Music And Multi-cuisine Food At Grillopolis | Mumbai
What you see - A brightly lit palatial gate greets you in a dimly lit bylane of Andheri, Mumbai. The outdoor area of this restaurant called Grillipolis, has well spaced comfortable seats and a hostess station. Inside, a huge buffet table is surrounded by leather couches adorned by colorful hanging lamps. The ceiling has intermingled wooden panels, and a long winding staircase takes to the upper lounge level. Here, the look changes with more contemporary black and white seating. The DJ console is manned by a smiling in-house DJ, playing recorded concerts which are showcased on a huge screen.
What you get - The food menu at Grillopolis boasts of Turkish, Lebanese, Moroccan, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek and Indian cuisine. The well done bar serves cocktails, excellent collection of domestic and international liquors, wines, mocktails, beer and more.
The groovy music made us try a breezy cocktail, Sex on the Beach, made with vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice and cranberry juice. As the night wore on the server edged us to try the house special, Spicy Raisin Mojito, and got his way! The Mojito had spiced rum, brown sugar, mint leaves, lime and raisins.
For starters we had Home Ground Mustard Chicken Tikka. The grilled chicken skewers marinated in light mustard were well made with a slight sweet taste. Next, we sampled Burnt Garlic Prawns with soya sesame. The crispy prawns were marinated in soy sauce and served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a side salad. Satiated, we ambled out humming songs played at the restobar.
Our verdict You can enjoy barbequed and grilled a la carte delicacies or try the delectable buffet at Grillopolis. The buffet main course has soup, salad, mezze platter, unlimited appetizers and a good number of main course options. We liked the impressive dining space at both the levels and spent the evening watching our favorite star concerts. They also have a Sunday brunch option at reasonable rates, so go ahead and indulge your loved ones. Ample parking space is available.
What you pay for a meal for two - Rs. 1,800
