The Best Way to Clean Dirty Beer Bottles
- 1). Fill a dishpan with hot water and mix in 1 tsp. dishwashing detergent. Place dirty beer bottles into the dishpan and allow them to soak for a few minutes to loosen dirt and sticky residue from beer.
- 2). Scrub the inside of each bottle using a bottle brush. Dip a clean cloth in the soap solution and use it to scrub the outside of the bottle. Be sure to wash in and around any grooves on the bottles to remove trapped dirt.
- 3). Rinse each bottle thoroughly until the rinse water coming out of the bottle is no longer soapy.
- 4). Fill the dishpan with 1 gallon water and 3 tbsp. bleach. Set the clean beer bottles in the diluted bleach solution to sanitize them. Soak the bottles for a few minutes then rinse them off with water both inside and out.
- 5). Dry the beer bottles on a drying rack that allows the bottles to stand upside down while drying. This allows remaining moisture to drain out of the bottles as they dry.
