How to Bathe With Salt
- 1). Fill your bathtub with warm water.
- 2). Add 2 cups bath salts, either Epsom salts or sea salt. Stir the salt into the warm bath water.
- 3). Soak in the bathtub for a minimum of 12 minutes to reap the benefits of Epsom salts. Extend your bath time, for longer relaxation and enjoyment, by adding warm water to the tub as the water cools.
- 1). Pour 1/2 cup of bath salts and 1/2 cup white sugar into a glass jar.
- 2). Add 1/4 cup olive oil and four drops of lavender essential oil to the sugar and salt. Stir with a spoon to mix the ingredients.
- 3). Apply the salt scrub as a pre-bath scrub or during bath time. Rub a handful of salt scrub over your body, applying more as needed. If applying it as a pre-bath scrub, wrap in a towel and leave the salt scrub on for 10 to 20 minutes before bathing. For a quicker skin-softening treatment, scrub the skin with the salt scrub while in the bathtub and rinse off immediately.
- 4). Soak in a tub filled with warm water, after using the salt scrub.
