    • 1). Scrape excess dried crayon from carpet pile with the edge of a metal spoon.

    • 2). Spray the crayon mark lightly with a spray lubricant and allow it to soak for five minutes.

    • 3). Brush the stain with a firm toothbrush and wipe the excess lubricant with paper towels.

    • 4). Spray the stain with lubricant again. Apply a few drops of dish soap to the stain.

    • 5). Work the soap into the stain with the toothbrush.

    • 6). Dampen a sponge with plain water and wipe the soap, lubricant and stain from the carpet. Repeat as necessary.
