    • 1). Mix together equal parts of water and ammonia.

    • 2). Use a cloth to dab the underarm stains with the ammonia mixture.

    • 3). Create a paste of baking soda and water if the ammonia solution doesn't work. Mix ¼ cup of water for every four tablespoons of baking soda.

    • 4). Spread the resulting paste onto the underarm stains and let it sit for about two hours.

    • 5). Rub the baking soda into the fabric of the shirt, and dab with a cloth soaked in white vinegar if there are any deodorant stains.

    • 6). Rinse the fabric and wash in your washing machine with detergent that's safe for the fabric.
