Galatians - We Are Saved by Grace Alone

103 2
The book of Galatians is one of the early epistles written by Paul to early churches in Galatia.
Paul was concerned with how the church was falling back into sin.
The church knew that they were saved by grace and not by works, but they were falling back into the same habits they had before they were saved by grace.
Even in today's society, many Christians get hung up on legalism.
We think we are saved by going to church every Sunday or by attending all of the revival services.
We often forget we are simply saved by grace.
Being saved by grace is not a license to sin.
When we turn 16 years old, we get a driver's license, but that doesn't mean we can break the law when we are driving.
The same holds true with the salvation we have in Christ.
Many people who profess to know Jesus as their Savior live a completely different lifestyle, but God wants us to obey his commands.
One of the key verses of Galatians is 2:16.
It reads "Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.
So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
" If you are worried that you are not doing enough work to get into heaven, don't worry about it! Salvation in Christ is not about doing a lot of good things or feeding homeless people.
Salvation is a free gift we can receive if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior.
You must believe that Jesus alone died for your sins so that you can have everlasting life.
(John 3:16) I also like Galatians 3:11.
It says "Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, the righteous will live by faith.
" It can be hard to live a righteous life.
Until the day that we pass away, our earthly flesh will always try to get us to sin.
It is a constant battle that is always ongoing, but we can take comfort that we are living under God's grace and not the law.
Righteous people must live by faith on this Scripture when times get tough, as God has already saved us! The book of Galatians is a great reminder of where we put our hope and trust.
