    • 1). Apply dry-cleaning solvent to the pen ink according to product label.

    • 2). Place three or four paper towels over and under the ink stain on the cotton. Press down on the towels to transfer the pen ink to the towels. Move on to clean ares on the towels until it no longer transfers.

    • 3). Soak the ends of a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. Rub the end of the cotton swab over the ink stain. Change out cotton swabs as they absorb the ink, and continue to apply the alcohol until it does not transfer.

    • 4). Apply a laundry pretreatment product to the ink stain according to product label. This will help to break up the remaining ink stain before you launder it.

    • 5). Launder the cotton according to the care label. Remove the item from the washing machine and hang it up to dry. If the pen ink remains, repeat the process.
