How to Clean Mud in Ponds And Rental Tools
- 1). Use a net to remove any fish or aquatic life in the pond and place them into a bathtub filled with cool water. Plug in the submersible pond vacuum and approach the pond that has a muck and mud problem. Give yourself at least 4 feet of extra power line to be able to reach all parts of the pond.
- 2). Insert the vacuum nozzle into the pond and place it onto the bottom. Pull the vacuum nozzle toward you as you vacuum up the sediment. Water will be removed from the pond.
- 3). Empty the pond vacuum when its water level approaches the top. Vacuum the entire pond bottom.
- 4). Insert a watering hose into the pond and fill it back up to its original level. Stock the pond fish that will naturally keep the pond clean, like bass.
- 5). Use a high-powered water pressure washer to remove any mud from the rented pond vacuum and its accompanying nozzle. Allow the vacuum and nozzle to dry in the sun during the daytime.
- 6). Spray the pressure hose at an angle to remove any caked-on mud or dirt. Do not spray directly into an engine, and stay clear from the vacuum air intake when cleaning with water.
