If you have a big screen TV, you probably need a large stand to place it on and it can take up a lot of that valuable living space.
The best way to reclaim that space is to mount your TV to the wall.
It is not a difficult task, you just need to plan out the project to remove room for error.
•First, you will locate the studs on the wall where you will be mounting your TV.

Measure it several times to make sure it is level before proceeding.
•Pre-drill your holes into the studs first, then, holding the mount against the wall, drill the screws in.
•Some people like to run their cables through the wall so that they don't have to look at unsightly wires.
Now is the time to do that before you hang your TV.
If you plan to add any other components to your TV, you may want to run the extra connections too.

If it is a really large TV, have someone help you.
Before you let go of the TV, make sure it is hung securely on the mounts.
Once your TV is mounted to the wall, you will free up some valuable space.
You can use the existing stand or purchase a smaller one that takes up less space so that you can arrange your accessories on it, such as DVD player, etc.
All that is left to do is to make a batch of popcorn, get yourself a refreshing beverage, pop in a movie and enjoy your new TV set up.
