How to Find Out How Old Your Fridge Is
- 1). Look inside your refrigerator to locate the sticker that has the model number and serial number. The sticker is typically located inside the door or on the liner. The sticker may have the manufacturing date written on it. If not, write down and label the two numbers. Write clearly, and use the proper case for letters. Take care not to confuse letters for numbers -- most model numbers and serial numbers use a combination of both.
- 2). Access the Appliance 411 or Appliance Factory Parts website. Both sites allow you to search information about common brand name appliances.
- 3). Select your appliance brand from the list. Type in your model number and serial number when prompted to do so, and enter the information to return the year or date your refrigerator was manufactured.
