How to Remove Sticky Vinyl Letters From a Mailbox

    • 1). Place a paper towel over the lettering.

    • 2). Spray full-strength white vinegar over the paper towel, saturating the towel thoroughly. The moisture allows the paper towel to stay in place over the mailbox.

    • 3). Let the towel sit for about 15 minutes, then remove it and try peeling off the sticky vinyl lettering. Continue peeling if the stickers are easily removed. If you have trouble peeling off the stickers, place the paper towel back into place and spray with a fresh coat of vinegar.

    • 4). Continue peeling off the stickers and applying fresh vinegar as needed until you can safely peel away all vinyl numbers.

    • 5). Wipe the mailbox with a paper towel moistened with vinegar to remove any leftover adhesive and allow the area to air dry.
