How to Remove Rubber-Based Glue From Stone
- 1). Dip a rag or soft cloth into acetone. Do not dilute it.
- 2). Wipe away any rubber-based glue which has not yet cured or hardened.
- 3). Lay the acetone-dampened cloth over any hard or cured glue. Allow the cloth to sit on top of the glue for 30 minutes. Lift the rag and wipe away any loosened glue. Use a plastic scraper or plastic razor blade to lift any loosened glue. Repeat the process until you have lifted all of the glue and residue.
- 4). Use a stone cleaner to clean the acetone away from the stone.
