How to Get Rid of Water Stains
- 1). Cover a section of an ironing board with a white towel.
- 2). Place the item of clothing inside out on top of the towel with the stained area facing down against the towel.
- 3). Moisten the area that has the water stain with a wet cloth.
- 4). Iron the wet area until it is dry. The stain should be gone. If a light remnant remains, try rubbing the back of a spoon over the area (right-side out).
- 1). Dampen the stained area with a wet cloth.
- 2). Fold four to six paper towels into fourths and place them on top of each other as a stack.
- 3). Place the stack of paper towels onto the wet area.
- 4). Position a heavy object such as a pot on top of the towels to hold them in place with a little pressure.
- 5). Point a blow dryer on its coolest setting at the paper towel stack. Blow for several minutes and check to see if the moisture and the water stain are gone. If the area is still damp, continue to blow until completely dry.
