    • 1). Twist the knob on the propane tank clockwise until tight to shut off the gas.

    • 2). Unscrew the metal coupler on each end of the regulator hose using pliers. Take the regulator and attached hoses with you to the store for a replacement.

    • 3). Turn the larger coupler on the new regulator and hose assembly clockwise onto the threaded valve on the propane tank. Tighten half a turn with the pliers.

    • 4). Connect the other end of the regulator hose to the burner valve on the back of the charbroiler. Tighten with pliers. On some models, the connection is immediately behind the control panel.

    • 5). Pour liquid soap and water into a bucket and swirl to create suds. Dip the towel in the bucket.

    • 6). Open the valve on the propane tank to release gas through the regulator to the charbroiler.

    • 7). Squeeze soapy water on the connector at the propane tank and the valve on the charbroiler. If you see sputtering soap suds or smell propane, close the knob on the tank and repeat the connections. Check your work again with the soapy water until both connections pass the leak test.
