Powerful Prayer: First of Three Keys to Powerful Prayer!
Hosea 4:6 states that God's people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge. The knowledge in question is not a secular knowledge, but rather, a lack of biblical understanding. In other words, many in the Christian community fail to understand and comply with God's ways of doing and being, and as a result, they fail to experience victory over the struggles of life.
Let's look at the first of three keys God says must be adhered to if we are to experience His best.
The first key we will discuss has been referred to: God's people are destroyed for a lack of biblical knowledge. It is imperative that those who call themselves Christians have a working knowledge of God's Word. Jesus Christ said it like this: "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock." In other words, if a Christian is to experience a powerful prayer life, he or she must not just read or hear what the Bible says, but the Christian must put the principles that they read or hear into practice if they wish to survive the storms of life.
God's Word contains principles that constitute the revelation knowledge upon which our Christian life must be built if we are to experience victory over the storms of life.
