Waring Waffle Maker Instructions
- 1). Prepare the waffle batter using the instructions given with the Waring waffle maker or use your own recipe.
- 2). Wipe the waffle maker with a damp cloth to remove any dust or residue. Plug the device into an outlet.
- 3). Press the toggle switch into the "On" position, so the red light is on. Let the device heat up. This could take four to six minutes. When it is ready, the device will beep six times and the red light will turn green, according to the Waring waffle maker user manual.
- 4). Select the settings for your waffle maker. If you want a golden brown waffle, select setting number 4. For a lighter waffle, select setting number 3 or lower. For a crisp waffle, select setting number 5 or higher.
- 5). Open the Waring waffle maker when it is done preheating. This is done by lifting the top lid of the waffle maker, so it stands vertically. Add cooking spray or oil to both the bottom and top part of the hot waffle surfaces.
- 6). Pour some of the waffle batter into the waffle maker, starting in the center of the grids. Fill the bottom grid to the three-quarter mark. Close the top lid down on the bottom lid and turn the entire waffle maker unit around 180 degrees to the right. The rotation will only affect the grids, as the top grid now becomes the bottom grid. It will not affect the entire structural unit. Use the front handle on the device to make the turn.
- 7). Turn the grids around to their original position once the waffle device has beeped three times. Open the lid and use a heat proof spatula to remove the waffle. You may need to loosen the edges of the waffle on the grids.
- 8). Turn the toggle switch to the "Off" position and unplug the device when done. Let it cool down. Once it is cool, use the damp cloth to clean off any batter or waffle residue on the waffle maker grids. Store it in a dry place at room temperature.
