Installation Instructions for Natural Gas to Propane Conversion Kit for a Dryer
- 1). Pull the power cord for your dryer out of the electrical outlet. Pull the dryer away from the wall. Turn off the gas supply to the dryer if there is an existing connection. Disconnect the existing gas supply line from the dryer with an adjustable wrench.
- 2). Insert a putty knife into the space between the top of the dryer and the front panel. Pry at the front corners of the dryer to release the securing clips. Raise the top off the frame and swing it to the back of the dryer, allowing it to rest on the wall. Remove the screws that secure the front panel to the frame from inside the dryer with a Phillips head screwdriver.
- 3). Locate the burner assembly at the bottom of the dryer. Remove the mounting screws from the burner tube with a Phillips head screwdriver. Remove the orifice from the burner tube with an adjustable wrench. Remove the leak limiter from the burner tube with the adjustable wrench.
- 4). Install the new leak limiter onto the burner tube. Tighten the limiter hand-tight. Install the new orifice onto the burner tube and tighten it with the adjustable wrench. Install the burner assembly in the dryer and tighten the mounting screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.
- 5). Install the front panel onto the dryer frame. Install the panel retaining screws and tighten them using the Phillips head screwdriver. Swing the dryer top down and away from the wall. Push firmly on each of the front corners to lock the top into place.
- 6). Connect the gas line to the dryer. Tighten the fitting with the adjustable wrench. Plug the dryer in and push it against the wall. Turn the gas on for the dryer.
