Care for Calibrachoa Plants
- 1). Prepare a location for the calibrachoa in full sunlight. The location needs well-drained soiled. You can increase the drainage of the soil by covering the ground in peat moss before you plant the calibrachoa.
- 2). Add a balanced fertilizer monthly to the plant. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer to feed the plant properly.
- 3). Water the plant once a week so the soil remains moist. The plant can tolerate drought, but you will need more water in periods of hot weather to ensure it remains healthy.
- 4). Apply a 1-inch layer of mulch over the soil to prevent weeds from growing and to retain water moisture.
- 5). Pinch off dead leaves and blossoms once you notice them. This will prevent plant decay.
