Summer programs and day camps are a fun way for children to explore their hobbies and interests. Instead of sitting in front of the television all day, kids can stay active and make the most out of their summer break. Whether your kids are interested in sports, the arts, educational topics or outdoor exploration, there's really something for everyone. Summer camps tend to fill up quickly so make your plans early to ensure spots in your child's favorite camps.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis


Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis offer summer programming for children at four facility-based sites: Keenan-Stahl, LeGore, Lilly and Wheeler-Dowe and Eastlawn Wesleyan Church. This is a great option if you just need a place to take your kids for a day or two! Summer activities include: educational activities, art projects, computer games, gym activities, field trips, outdoor activities and much more! Lunch and snack will be provided. Conner Prairie Summer Camps


Conner Prairie offers two very different camps to fit your children's needs. Adventure Camp is just what it sounds like - a week of adventure. Shoot down the Turbo Chute water slide, enjoy canoe rides, climb, swing and balance through a challenge course, hike, fish, play tug-of-war and explore the pond on a paddle boat! No doubt the kids will come home exhausted from this one!

Art Camp gives kids the opportunity to express what they see in the nature that surrounds them, into art. Art camp activities include photography, drawing, sketching, painting, splat painting, ride a line-led horse, acting, pottery and much more!

Both camps run June 10 - August 9. Adventure camp is for kids ages 5 to 15 and art camp is for children ages 8 to 15.More »

Holliday Park Nature Discovery Camps


Holliday Park, located on the north side of Indianapolis on Spring Mill Road, is a 94-acre city park. The park boasts a nature center, great playgrounds and over three and a half miles of trails. Holliday Park offers various youth summer day camps. The ISM offers camps for ages 7 to 14 and cover such themes as history, science, paleontology and archaeology, crime scene and even a new one on fashion runway. The Indianapolis Children's Choir Choral Festival

The week-long camp will teach songs from a variety of cultures and will focus on vocal development. Children will play games that will help them develop rhythm, music reading and vocal ton and harmonic skills. The week ends with a live performance from the camp.
