    Coke Marinade

    • 1). Mix a 12-ounce can of Coke with 1/2 cup of Orange Juice in a medium mixing bowl. Use a sharp kitchen knife to chop two tablespoons of fresh onion and one tablespoon of fresh garlic. Add to mixing bowl.

    • 2). Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Toss in any other fresh herbs you may want to add.

    • 3). Apply the mixture as a marinade for chicken, steak or fish. Allow the meat to absorb the marinade for at least 2 hours prior to cooking. Your meat should come out tender and with a hint of Coke.

    Coke BBQ Sauce

    • 1). Mix 3/4 cup of Coke, 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, 3/4 cup of Ketchup and 2 tbsp of vinegar inside of a medium size saucepan.

    • 2). Dice one medium sized onion and add to saucepan. Blend in 1 tbsp of chili powder and 1 tsp of salt inside saucepan.

    • 3). Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing sauce to thicken. This makes two cups of sauce. You can baste BBQ sauce onto meat while it's cooking on the grill.

    Coke Cake

    • 1). Mix 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 3 tsp of cocoa, 1 cup of butter, and 1 tsp of baking soda in a large bowl.

    • 2). Fold in 1 cup of Coke, 2 eggs, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Blend ingredients together until smooth. Pour into a 9-by-3 inch baking pan. Bake on 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

    • 3). Allow the cake at least 10 minutes to cool before removing from pan to frost or serve. You may substitute a single cake by using muffin or cupcake pans.
