First, you need to confront your fears and deal with them head-on.
Once you do this, you need to find your inner strength and then have to ability to communicate with your spouse in a way he or she will hear you.

Everything can be broken down into manageable steps.
The most important thing that you must do in the middle of your crisis is to get a hold of yourself.
Ask yourself what is your biggest fear.
If this marriage were to end today, where would this leave you? Will you be facing a financial crisis or a health issue? Are you worried about your children, if you have any? Now just take a deep breathe and allow yourself to think about all the options you have.
What choices can you make? What actions can you take to combat these fears should they come to pass? You may not necessarily like all the options you may consider, but think about this for a minute, you do have options.
What's the point of this exercise? By facing your fears and asking yourself, what would I do if the worst were to happen, you will see that you are not without a solution.
This alone should empower you.
Fear causes an emotional paralysis and keeps you from moving in any constructive direction.
Once you have a glimpse of hope, you will not feel like a complete victim.
No matter what happens, understand that you are never a victim.
You always have the choice to take control of your life.
How do you do this? Ask yourself another very important question? What is it that I want? Define in great detail what you want your life to be like.
Make a list of all the things you desire in your life.
Be as specific as you can.
Once you have some clarity by voicing your fears and knowing you can manage them, and by defining exactly what you want, you are in a position to begin a dialogue with your spouse.
Let you spouse know what you want and ask him or her to tell you what he or she wants in a relationship.
When you can define for yourself what you want and encourage the same from your spouse, you will know how to save your marriage.
You will have defined common goals you both can work towards.
You will have the ability to keep your marriage intact rather than ending it.
