How to Get Same Day Tickets to the Washington Monument in DC

During the summer, arrive at the monument before 7:00. This will ensure you will get tickets for the day. You can pick up tickets for up to 6 people, including yourself, so everyone in your party does not need to wait with you. - 2
Walk to the ticketing kiosk. It is on the East side of the monument. The Lincoln Memorial and the monument will be directly behind you, and you will be looking towards the Capitol building. You will also see the line forming. Follow the people! - 3
Wait in line. The kiosk will start giving out tickets for the day at 8:30. They run out fairly quickly. - 4). Tell the ticketing agent how many tickets you would like. Don't be afraid to ask for tours at different times, including tours in the afternoon. Tickets for tours that day are issued on a first-come-first-serve basis.
