How to Choose a Lazy Susan
- 1). Determine the purpose of your lazy Susan. A smaller one can be used in the center of a table to put condiments on for serving. A larger lazy Susan is good for serving food family style where each member gets a plate and serves themselves from common dishes. Smaller lazy Susans can be used in pantries to keep items such as spices organized and easily accessible.
- 2). Measure your table, counter or cabinet where the lazy Susan is going to be used. They come in standard sizes but custom pieces and handmade lazy Susans may have more variations. Having the measurements on hand will help you choose the correct size.
- 3). Decide if you want the lazy Susan made of plastic, glass or wood, or a more decorative material like stone or marble. Consider whether you will need an inexpensive, everyday piece or one that will be a focal point of your table.
- 4). Go shopping to look for your lazy Susan. Once you have selected a style that you like, spin it around to see if it rotates easily.
