How to Create a Live Bootable Flash Drive for CentOS on a Mac
- 1). Open the UNetbootin website at UNetbootin.SourceForge.net in your Web browser.
- 2). Click the “Download (For Mac OS X)” link on the page and save the file to your Mac
- 3). Double-click the downloaded UNetbootin ZIP file. Your Mac automatically unzips its contents to the current folder.
- 4). Double-click the “UNetbootin.app” file to open UNetbootin.
- 5). Click “Distribution” at the top of the UNetbootin window, select “CentOS” from the “Select Distribution” box and select your desired version of CentOS from the “Select Version” box.
- 6). Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port on your Mac and select it from the “Drive” box at the bottom of the UNetbootin window.
- 7). Click “OK.” UNetbootin automatically downloads your selected version of CentOS, converts it and creates a live CentOS flash drive. You can restart your Mac or other computer to boot from the CentOS flash drive.
