How to Reformat an ASUS Eee PC
- 1). Insert Windows installation disc, then restart the Asus Eee PC. Wait for your computer to boot up. The installation disc should automatically boot from the Windows Setup Main Menu.
- 2). Hit the "Enter" key at the setup page, then press "F8" to accept the Windows licensing agreement. If you have a current version of Windows the setup menu will prompt you to repair your current version of Windows. Hit the "Esc" key to bypass this repair process.
- 3). Use the left and right arrow keys to select a partitioned or unpartitioned hard drive formatting option. Hit the "D" to delete an existing partition, or the "C" key to create a new partition. If you choose to create a new partition, type in the amount of space (in megabytes) you want to use for that specific drive partition.
- 4). Select the "NTFS" formatting option, then hit the "Enter" key to proceed.
- 5). Follow the on-screen instructions to install your new version of Windows.
