Many people wonder what happens when police officers do drug raids and things of that nature. Where does that money go? Well, for some places in the United States, when the police are done with a case and things are cleared the proceeds of crime go back into the community.

What used to be that the money was given to the Federal Government to be disposed of was looked upon as a complete waste. Many say that there are other things that this money could have been used towards. For some, they say it could help the school systems which are always cutting back on money. It could help pay to get the graffiti off of walls.

They have used the money from crimes is that they had went and picked a not for profit organization in which to donate the money to. This shows that while the police departments are cleaning up crime, they are ready to help other individuals succeed.

Then there are those who use it to benefit the police department. You might be wondering how this can better the community, this is how it works. If the money is given to the police department then it benefits the community as this money is then used to up different forces that need improving to better serve and keep the community safe.

This money can make a big difference. However, some who are with the law are not sure where they stand on this issue. They say that it's been in the hands of some very fishy people and why should we keep passing this money on. There could be issues down the road since all money has a number and can be traced. There just sends up too many red flags to some individuals.
