5 Easy Ways to Be Romantic

Being romantic is not easy, especially for most men like me.
Add an alpha male ego, my ADD, and general overload and romance just doesn't happen easily.
It can be difficult for women as well.
Sure, it may be easy when you just meet someone and are enthralled with them, but as time goes on the romance fades unless you work at it.
Ordinary life simply interferes with romance and stops it dead in its tracks if you let it! It's not even easy to describe "romantic" or "romance.
" Most definitions are lacking, but most people can instantly tell if something is romantic! Here are some easy ways to be romantic.
Try them and see what they do for your relationship.
Spend time together, really together.
Not watching TV in the same room or while texting or reading email, but enjoying each others company perhaps like you used to.
Sit on the couch and cuddle for a while.
Plan and cook a fun meal together.
You must enjoy each other's company, right? Otherwise even thinking about romance makes no sense at all Go out on dates, especially if you are past the dating stage.
What did you used to enjoy doing with each other? Perhaps a romantic meal or a movie or a walk in the park? Maybe a night on the town or a weekend away somewhere you've wanted to visit or revisit, or perhaps somewhere you used to go.
Buy them an impractical gift, something with no inherent use.
Something like flowers or a teddy bear.
Practical gifts, like toaster ovens and ironing boards, are not romantic in the least.
Whimsical gifts certainly are.
Do something randomly kind often, once a day or more if you can.
Get up a few minutes early and make them coffee or tea, even if you don't drink it yourself for example, or wash their car for no reason at all.
Anything to show you care.
Tell them you care, whether it's a heart felt "I love you" or "It's fantastic how you (fill in the blank)" or similar.
Communicating why they're great is romantic.
You need to do this often.
A mindless "I love you" might work, but I'm sure you can do better.
Long term romance takes work, but it's worth it! It is easy and fun if you do it regularly.
Conversely, if you don't work on your romance, it'll fade away - that I can promise you unfortunately.
