Looking to gain lean muscle?It's not the easiest task, it takes a lot of hard work and consistent and persistent effort to break through the many plateaus you will face, but if you have the right system in place and are determined, you can make a drastic change in a relatively short amount of time.

Get Your Sleep In
You wouldn't think this is a good tip to gain lean muscle, but it's one of the most important, especially since the vast majority of us don't get enough sleep as it is!Many people get by on 5 or 6 hours of sleep and this is a far cry of what us bodybuilders need so we can properly repair our muscle tissues.
The average person will need 8 hours, but for us, it would be good to get 8-10 hours of sleep in, especially after a grueling workout session.
This will ensure that our body has ample time to repair itself and grow.

Go Up In Weight Or Reps
Another key is to make sure you're always progressing in your training by going up in either weight or reps.
Each week, you want to be pushing past your previous results, if for the barbell curl you were only able to do 8 reps of 70 pounds, the next time around you should aim for 9-10 reps of 70 pounds, or look to go up to 7-8 reps of 75 pounds.

Stay Inspired
Gaining weight is very much a mental game as well, if you can't stay focused and driven, you will not see results.
It's a good idea to keep yourself inspired by posting a picture of your ideal body up as a desktop wallpaper, or put up a poster of your favorite bodybuilder on the wall, make sure you have inspiration in front of you at all times.
