More Tips To Improve Your Knowledge Of Green Tea Antioxidant

If you are like me and are always looking for ways to improve your health or healthy lifestyle, then take a minute to look over some great information on green tea antioxidants.

Tip 1: Many years ago, in fact over 4,000 years ago, green tea was used in Indian and Chinese medicine. It is still used today and it is drunk as a part of everyday life in most Asian countries. They knew this was an important plant, but did not know about the green tea antioxidants.

Tip 2: The reason that it is so good is a polyphenol that scientists call EGCG or Epigallocatechin gallate. This is a catechin that belongs to the family of flavonoids. Flavonoids are powerful antioxidants also found in some cocoas and chocolates.

Tip 3: Green tea antioxidants help fight against a long list of cancers and there is research being done on the possibility of fighting against stomach cancer. The types of cancer are: Skin, Prostate, Pancreatic, Lung, Esophageal, Colorectal, Ovarian, Breast, and Bladder.
It is easy to find out real fast that "green tea does a body good!"

Tip 4: Two or three cups of green tea a day is recommended. This is around 240 - 320 milligrams of polyphenols that are in the tea. The other option is to take 100 - 750 milligrams of green tea extract.

The good thing about the extract is that scientists have been able to remove the caffeine that occurs in the natural tea. This is great for people who want to take this supplement late in the day or for people who have an allergy to caffeine.

I try to drink the daily dosage, but sometimes it is hard to remember to do this every day with work and a family. I was able to find an excellent quality extract in a multi vitamin.
Now, I just take my multi vitamin and on the weekends I take the time to brew a nice cup or two of tea throughout the day.
