    Black, Gray or Amber

    • These colors typically are related to a dark or negative mood. They are said to reveal stress or feelings of being overworked, down on your luck or nervous about a person or an upcoming event in your life. Black also is rumored to predict feeling ill or under the weather.

    Red

    • Passion, excitement and zest are associated with the color red. It can also represent anger or fury over something or someone in your life. Red speaks of adventure or of energized change. If your ring turns red, it might mean you have a hot date soon or an exciting change ahead.

    Yellow

    • Egomaniacs often have yellow-colored mood rings because they are busy thinking about themselves. Yellow indicates deep thought or study over any subject. Mental strain and serious concentration are conveyed through a light, sunny color.

    Green or Teal

    • Mood rings most often tend to show green or teal. Green is associated with growth because most things rely on plants to grow and change. Green is indicative of healing or love. It is also a calming color, and the person with a green ring is nothing if not calm.

    Blue, Violet or Indigo

    • These colors are associated with the throat. A blue mood ring might mean a struggle for words or a fight to voice your opinion. Also, blue is the color of happiness and suggests that wears of blue rings are happy and at ease with themselves and the world.

    White

    • Frustration and boredom are ascribed to the color white. When you don't know what to do with yourself, have feelings of ennui or are stuck in a funk, your ring might lose its color. If you feel drained and without energy, your ring is likely to pick up on your mood and lose all of its pizzazz, too.
