Mocha Cashew Milk
This recipe for mocha cashew milk is rich, creamy and utterly delicious. It's a treat in a glass, but contains plenty of nutrients. Cashews supply vital amino acids, iron, Vitamin K, magnesium, phosphorus manganese, copper and more. Raw cacao adds minerals and antioxidants, and cold brewed coffee lends a shot of low acid flavor. All you need to make this milk is a blender, good water and an (optional) nut milk bag or layers of cheesecloth. I love the thickness and texture of the milk so I never strain mine. This milk is a great stand alone treat, base for smoothies and pudding, and can even be made thick enough to drizzle on homemade cake for a dessert sauce. Just be careful not to drink it too late in the day; it can be a bit stimulating.
