How to Adjust Pictures With Cartoon Software
- 1). Upload your picture to the software program. If the software is online, click browse, then select the photo from the window that comes up. If the software is on your desktop, click file-->open, then pick the file from the window that comes up.
- 2). Select the area of the photo that you want to modify. Most programs let you do this by placing a large square or rectangle over the photo, and having you resize the rectangle with your cursor to pick an area on the photo. Select the area of the photo you want to adjust by expanding and moving the rectangle to fit that area.
- 3). Cut out any sections of the photo you want to replace, using the select tool or any equivalent tool that lets you pick a section of a photo then replace it. To pick out a selection with the select tool, simply left click on your mouse, then drag over the area. Click on the area again and drag it away to remove it.
- 4). Replace the empty area with a new image. If you want to replace a section of the photo with the color from the photo's background, simply use the clone stamp tool (or non-Photoshop equivalent tool that lets you pick a part of the photo and brush the pattern onto another part of the photo). Using this tool, pic the background section that you want to fill in the replaced area with, then fill in the area. If you want to paste in another image, copy the file from its original location, then paste into your new image by "CTRL" and "V."
- 5). Apply visual effects to the image to change the color, hue or saturation. Use the color features to make the photo darker or brighter. Use the contrast features to make the photo sharper or duller. Apply combination effects from the "effects" menu (the menu is more or less the same on every program) to create dazzling 3d effects. For example, use "black outline" to give every object a black outline, and "emboss" to give the image a laminated quality.
