Applying Eyeliner Above the Eye

• 1). Close the eye on which you would like to apply the eyeliner.
  
  
• 2). Place the eyeliner pencil in your dominant hand.
  
  
• 3). Pull the eyelid from the corner of the outside edge of the eyelid with your free hand gently.
  
  
• 4). Position the eyeliner pencil on the bottom of the eyelid, just above the eyelashes.
  
  
• 5). Apply the eyeliner to the inside of the eyelid and gently move the pencil toward the outside of the eyelid.
  
  

Applying Eyeliner Below the Eye

• 1). Keep your eyes open while applying eyeliner below the eye.
  
  
• 2). Place the eyeliner pencil in your dominant hand.
  
  
• 3). Position the eyeliner pencil underneath the bottom eyelashes and near the inside corner of your eye.
  
  
• 4). Apply the eyeliner to the top of the lower eyelid and just below the eyelashes by gently moving the pencil toward the outside of the eyelid.
