Cucumber For a summer snack to satisfy your hunger, cut up some cucumber slices. If you want a dipping sauce, opt for hummus, which has heart healthy benefits and is low in fat, cholesterol and calories. The cucumbers are hydrating because of their high water content. Staying hydrated is essential during the hotter months. You may want to try a green juice by using cucumbers and lemon.

Honeydew Melon and Cantaloupe Honeydew melon has a variety of benefits and so does cantaloupe. It even has the ability to assist you in beating the summer heat. This is because it contains antioxidants and nutrients that are essential to good health. Not to mention, they have a high water content that contributes to you staying hydrated when the summer sun is sucking the fluid right out of you.
