How to Use a Water Cooler the First Time
- 1). Inspect the water cooler to make sure that all parts are intact. Have at least one correctly sized bottle of water ready. Turn off the cooler and the set the cold water temperature gauge as desired.
- 2). Place the water cooler in a spot near an electrical outlet, making sure that the cord won't block a pathway.
- 3). Remove the cap from the water bottle and quickly place it spout down on top of the unit, allowing water to fill the reservoirs. If the unit has a hot water option, hold a container under the hot water spigot and allow water to flow from it until the air bubbles in the jug stop.
- 4). Press the cold water spigot to make sure it flows properly. It's not necessary to run it until the bubbles stop.
- 5). Plug in the water cooler and turn the hot water switch on, if applicable. Allow the unit to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, check for any leaks.
- 6). Check the water temperature. The cold water should be very cold; the hot should be steaming, hot enough to make a cup of tea.
- 7). Inspect again for leaks. If there are any problems with the water temperature or any leakage, unplug the unit and call the water cooler company. If there are no problems, the cooler is ready to use. Fill the cup dispenser.
