My Scrambled Eggs This Morning Were Cooked in Hydrogenated Oil - Dangers of Hydrogenated Oils
The Dangers of Hydrogenated Oils are Everywhere.
Here is Just One Example: I had to go to town this morning for a meeting and did not have time to eat at home.
Usually when I get up I drink about 700ml of water and then - after I empty myself I drink a minimum of 60ml MonaVie juice, which is the super acai berry juice.
That juice keeps me going for about half an hour to an hour.
After that I do have to have a decent breakfast.
So today I decided to have it in a cafe in town, so I walked into one and asked for the healthiest breakfast they can make, I wanted it to have raw vegetables salad.
The young guy behind the counter looked at me bewildered.
I do not think he heard the word raw in a long time, after all it is usually all cooked.
So after a quick look at the menu I chose some scrambled eggs with fresh raw vegetables salad and no bread at all.
$10 and 15 minutes later later my breakfast arrived at the table.
Just from smelling the eggs I could tell something was wrong.
See, after reading, studying and eating healthy for so many years I know straight away if the food I look at is good and healthy or not.
The smell that came from the eggs was of the oil they used to cook it in.
It was hydrogenated oil no doubt, that burnt smell or margarine oil or some other really cheap cooking oil, the type that get messed up with when is being produced.
Hydrogenated Oils Produce Free Radicals When Heated These oils being produced industrially.
They are mixed with chemicals, they are subject to extremely high pressure and temperature, companies who produce them add industrial solvents to them like hexane, as well as a metal catalyst.
Then, just to finish this engineering modification off they get some bleaching and deodorizing agents added to them as well.
Now I want you to tell me if you really want to eat food cooked in these oils.
I mean this is not even worth using as oil to your lawn mower.
When you think about it good quality oil added to your car engine will get your engine going better than if you would add cheap oil to it.
It is the same with the food you put inside your stomach.
Hydrogenated oils produce free radicals when heated.
They will smoke up and mix the free radicals from the smoke with your food.
You then eat that food and force artificially made free radicals into your body.
Mike Geary writes in his book 'Truth about Six Pack Abs' about this in length.
