How to: Easy Ponytails on the Sides With Medium Lengths
- 1). Wash your hair. Add any leave-in conditioners while the hair is still wet. Apply mousse, hair straightener or any other desired hair care cocktails while hair is wet.
- 2). Towel dry the hair and smooth with a wide-tooth comb or fingers. Create a part in the hair that extends from the crown to the natural hairline. Use a long-tail comb to help create the part. Angle the part toward the ear where the ponytail will be set.
- 3). Blow dry the hair, using a hair dryer and a bristle brush. A round or flat brush is used, depending on preference.
- 4). Smooth the top of the hair in a center part. Sweep the hair to each side of the face while combing hair from the crown and back toward the back of the head.
- 5). Gather the hair behind one ear, using a comb or fingers. Redefine a part extending from the natural hairline to reach the ear opposite the ponytail.
- 6). Secure the hair with a hair-friendly hairband, such as a rubber-free hair wrap. Flip as much hair as possible over the shoulder to finish the look.
