How to Moisturize Frizzy Hair
- 1). Schedule your shampoos every two to four days instead of washing hair daily. To deposit moisture while shampooing, use a product formulated for curly hair or a silicone-based product. On non-shampoo days, rinse dirty hair with your conditioner only.
- 2). Apply silicone-based conditioners to moisturize and deep-condition your frizzy hair. To deep-condition strands, allow the conditioner to rest on damp hair for five to seven minutes. Wrap hair in a dryer-warmed towel to boost penetration of the product.
- 3). Rinse your strands with cold water. The cool water makes the hair cuticles lie flat, and gives the appearance of shiny hair.
- 4). Dry strands with a towel. Gently wrap hair in a large towel to soak up wetness without encouraging frizz.
- 5). Coat damp hair with a dollop of styling cream. Rake the styling cream through hair with your fingers. A smoothing and anti-frizz styling cream is the ultimate dynamic duo: it defines your curls as it defrizzes hair.
- 6). Dry hair with a diffuser on medium heat or let your curls air-dry. Once hair is completely dry, apply a dime-sized amount of shine pomade to add gloss and tame flyaways.
