If you've ever had back pain, you know how bad it can get.
There are two types of pain.
Serious or chronic pain is one type.
The other is the one-time pain that comes from just over doing something during the day.
If you want to get rid of that second type of pain, the trick is to stay as still as you can.
One problem that a lot of people have is that they don't give their back time enough to recover.
Your back may feel better soon, but it may not necessarily be fully healed.
So, you shouldn't rush recovery time.
Of course, it's not always easy to lay still for a day or two or even more.
However, you can make it easier.
The first thing that can make the experience easier is having your spouse or a friend around to help you with things like meals for a day or two.
If that's not possible, order take out and only get up long enough to pay the person.
Another thing that helps is making the most of times that you do have to get up.
For example, if you're getting up to go to the bathroom anyway, don't stop there.
Get a drink, a snack, a book, a movie or anything else that you feel you may need in the next few hours.
That way, you'll minimize the number of times that you have to get up and down.
It's possible to recover from a minor muscle sprain or strain at home.
Just remember, if your back pain seems to worsen, call your doctor.
It's not worth risking your health over.
