How to Browse the System Restore Files
- 1). Download the free software System Restore Explorer (see Resources), if you don't already have the program on your computer.
- 2). Click on the "Start" menu, click "All Programs" and then click on "System Restore Explorer" to launch System Restore Explorer.
- 3). Scroll through your System Restore points. With this software, your restore points will be listed under the name that you used when you created the restore points, such as "Install: Driver Package Install." Browse through the System Restore files.
- 4). If you'd like to delete a particular restore point, click on the restore point to highlight it, right-click and then choose "Delete."
- 1). Click the "Start" menu, click "Control Panel" and then click "System and Maintenance."
- 2). Click "Backup and Restore."
- 3). Click "Browse for files." This will allow you to scroll through and browse through individual System Restore files.
