How to Make Lamb Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce
- 1). Combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, dill and mint in a medium bowl to make the tzatziki sauce; add salt to taste. Refrigerate to allow flavors to mingle while you prepare the kabobs.
- 2). Place the chunks of lamb, peppers and onion slices on the skewers, alternating the ingredients, to make kabobs; leave a small space between each ingredient for even cooking. If using bamboo skewers, soak in water before creating kabobs to prevent sticking.
- 3). Broil the skewers in the oven four to five inches from the heat, or on an outdoor grill. Turn to ensure even cooking until lamb is thoroughly cooked, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- 4). Serve souvlaki with tzatziki sauce and pita bread.
