How to Cut a Faux Brick Sheet
- 1). Apply painter's tape to the front side of your faux brick sheet along the line where you want your cut. Draw a line on top of the tape where you want to make your cut.
- 2). Lay your faux brick panel, face up, on a smooth, firm, flat surface with the portion you wish to cut hanging off the edge. Use a hacksaw with a sharp blade to cut along the line you have drawn on your painter's tape.
- 3). Remove the tape when you are finished and lightly sand the edge you have just cut with 100-grit sandpaper or a sanding block. Install your cut panel.
- 4). Use a jigsaw or a band saw for longer cuts or for more intricate cuts. Cut slowly and carefully, following the line you have drawn on your painter's tape.
- 5). Remove the painter's tape when you have finished making your cut and lightly sand the cut edge with 100-grit sandpaper or a sanding block.
