How to Downgrade to XP on a Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4830
- 1). Load the Windows XP CD into your Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4830 laptop's DVD drive. Restart your computer after inserting the CD.
- 2). Tap any key on your keyboard when you are brought to the black "Press any key to boot from CD" screen after restarting. Hit the "Enter" key on your laptop's keyboard once the "Welcome to Setup" screen is displayed.
- 3). Read the license agreement for Windows XP and ht the "F8" key on your keyboard to confirm that agree to the terms. Highlight the hard drive that you currently have Vista installed on using the arrow keys on your laptop's keyboard. Hit the "Enter" key to continue.
- 4). Type the product key that came with your Windows XP CD in the provided space. Click the "Next" button to proceed with the installation. The XP files will be copied to your Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4830 laptop and your will be brought to the XP desktop after the process is complete. Your laptop will now be fully downgraded to Windows XP.
