How to Copy a Windows 2000 CD Backup

    • 1). Right click on your desktop and select "New Folder." Title the folder "Windows 2000."

    • 2). Insert your Windows 2000 backup CD into your CD or DVD drive.

    • 3). Click "Start."

    • 4). Click "My Computer."

    • 5). Click "Tool."

    • 6). Click "Folder Options."

    • 7). Click the "View" tab.

    • 8). Check the box for "Show Hidden Files."

    • 9). Remove the check mark from the box for "Hide Protected Files."

      Open the file window for your Windows 2000 disc, and drag and drop the contents into the "Windows 2000" file on your desktop.

      Remove the Windows 2000 install CD and insert your blank CD.

      Open your CD burning program and open a new data CD project.

      Drag and drop the files you just transferred to your Windows 2000 folder into your new project.

      Click the "Write" or "Burn" disc icon and wait as your Windows 2000 backup CD is burned.
