How to Place a Heater for a Water Bed
- 1). Place the heater pad flat in the middle of the bed deck. Do not lay the pad over any cracks or separations in the deck. Locate the wall outlet nearest to the head of the water bed. This is the side of the bed on which you need to mount the thermostat control.
- 2). Mount the water bed heater thermostat control on the side of the bed frame near the head of the bed. Use the supplied screws and a Phillips head screwdriver to mount the thermostat.
- 3). Plug the terminal end of the water bed heater sensor tub into the bottom of the thermostat control. Insert the sensor tube through the hole in the deck at the corner of the frame. Place the tube in between the bed frame and the heater pad.
- 4). Connect the heater pad electrical wire to the bottom of the thermostat control. Plug the thermostat control power cord into the wall outlet.
- 5). Turn the thermostat to its highest setting and place your hand on the heating pad. Once the heating pad begins to warm, turn the thermostat down and unplug the power cord. You are now ready to finish installing your water bed liner and mattress.
