Television manufacturers all the world are busy pushing specifications that make costlier products look better irrespective of the truth. Specification sheets have one purpose and that is to bring in more money for the product manufacturer.People today now choose flat screens over the common type as it is more convenient and the features are quite advance. Flat screen TVs are a great deal slimmer and a lot more elegant than standard TVs. The flat screens available today are thin, light, and can be easily mounted onto your wall in your house. No one should  buy a flat screen TV based on the specification sheet because chances are that those are lies or bunch of overly complicated figures that don't make sense anyway! Instead we have three easy-to-follow, commonsensical methods that will help you find the best flat screen TV.

1. Numbers are rubbish, as they always have been

There have been rare occasions when numbers have complemented the truth and buying TVs is not one of those occasions. Just keep in mind that the numbers are only good when the reality is pleasant, otherwise those are pretty useless for you as a customer. When you are in a shop to buy a flat screen TV, turn it on and check out every little aspect of it from how it looks to how it performs and then  take a look at the spec sheet!

2. Size Matters

There was a time when people would have scoffed at what I am about to say: size is necessary to win wars. This is particularly true for flat screen TV. The bigger the screen is, the better. One very common complaint of flat screen TV buyers is the size of the screen. Often buyers wish for more than what they have and in case of flat screen TVs it is always the size of the screen, people always want bigger and better because a big screen looks better on the wall than a small screen.

3. Connectivity is important

Your flat screen TV needs to be the hub of your entire media collection be sure to have all connectivity options you need on the unit before you buy it. A rule of thumb method of buying a proper TV is having one HDMI port for each device that you want to connect. The last thing that you need to consider is ports for devices that are old. For those you have no other option but to buy a flat screen TV with legacy ports in them.
